Ingredients for Tandoori Chicken -
3pcs Chicken leg pieces
Coriander leaves, chopped- 1 cup
Curd - 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 2tsp
Readymade chicken masala 1 tbsp
Readymade Tandoori Chicken Masala 2tbsp
Kashmiri lal mirch powder 1 tbsp
Kasuri Methi – 2 tbsp
Lemon 2 pcs
Red chilli powder 1tsp
Garam Masala 1tbsp
Salt to taste
5 tbsp Mustard oil
Chat Masala
Butter
Ginger Garlic Paste
Tamarind
Amchur powder
Preparation:
STEP #1: Chicken Marination
Clean & wash the chicken pieces. Drain the water or pat dry. Make deep cut in the pieces. Use a fork to make deep insertion in them. In a bowl mix the following ingredients with the chicken and refrigerate it for minimum 12 hours.
Chicken, large pieces with bones
Salt
Kashmiri lal mirch powder 1 tbsp
Readymade Tandoori Chicken Masala 2tbsp
Lemon Juice (1pc) / Tamarind water
Ginger Garlic Paste
STEP #2: Chicken Marination
After 12 hours of the first Marination, add the following in the bowl, mix them well and keep it for another 12 hours or more
Coriander leaves, chopped
Curd - 1 cup (hung card)
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 2tsp
Readymade chicken masala 1 tbsp
Kasuri Methi – 2 tbsp
Garam Masala 1tbsp
Red chilli powder 1tsp (optional, or to taste)
Salt to taste
2Tbsp Mustard oil
Amchur powder
STEP #3: Cook the chicken
· Take the chicken out of the refrigerator an hour before cooking
· Oil the crusty plate, use mustard oil. Put the leg pcs in the crusty plate
· Use Indian recipe 6-25 (Pre selected menu from Samsung Microwave Manual, MC28M6036C) it will be set for 40 mins (High rack)
· On the first beep (30 Mins), turn the chickens over, apply some mustard oil
· Once its done, apply some butter and grill for 3 mins
· Turn the chicken apply some butter and grill for 3 mins
· Serve hot with chat masala, lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
** Crusty plate will be extremely hot, use gloves.
